Closed Captioning Resources

Overview

All audio-visual and audio-only content must contain accurate captions in order to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA and ADA compliance. Many tools include machine generated captions and transcripts. These are generally not accurate enough for compliance, but can be edited for accuracy or sent to a third party vendor for professional captioning and transcription.

If professional captions are needed for a live in person or virtual event, please contact Center for Accessibility Resources at interpreting.services@metrostate.edu at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
