External Event Space Reservation (no login required)

Overview

  • Request to reserve an event space on a Metropolitan State University campus as an external (non-Metropolitan State University) organization.

  • External organizations may be affiliated with a state agency, be for profit or not for profit.

  • Major event spaces include Founders Hall Auditorium, Reception Area, Great Hall, Library 302 Eco Lab and Science Education Center Atrium.

  • Other spaces, including classrooms and computer labs are also available for event reservation but specific rooms may not be guaranteed due to class scheduling. 

Important Information for External Events

  • There is a two hour minimum reservation

  • External events wanting to serve food must use an caterer whose licensed with the State of MN

  • External events require prior payment and proof of certificate of liability insurance

Resources

To request alcohol service at your event:

  1. Complete the 5.18.2 Event Checklist for Events Involving Alcoholic Beverages; this Form download is available from procedure:  5.18.2 Event Check List for Events involving Alcoholic Beverages - use the document link "Download the form as a Word document" located toward the top of the page. 
  2. Attach the completed checklist to your reservation form, or submit it directly to the Facilities Event Coordinator.
  3. Ensure all required approvals are obtained in advance of the event.

Note: Serving alcohol without prior approval is not permitted.
