First Step: Login to the the Virtual Event Management System to view current space availability.
Internal department sponsorship of an external organization to host an event on Metropolitan State University property.
Major event spaces include Founders Hall Auditorium, Reception Area, Great Hall, Library 302 Eco Lab and Science Education Center Atrium.
Other spaces, including classrooms and computer labs are also available for event reservation but specific rooms may not be guaranteed in advance due to class scheduling.
Spaces on campuses other than the Saint Paul Campus are subject to the reservation process and procedure of that campus.
Faculty, staff or student organizations can submit this request.
Partnership events wanting to serve food must use an approved catering service
Sponsoring Department is responsible for any unpaid balances left by external group
Partnership events requesting a reduction of the space reservation fee must include adequate justification that meet the following criteria:
Partnership will benefit the college, students and/or staff
Advances the mission of Metropolitan State University
Partnership enriches the lives of the community
Event meets specific course learning outcomes
Student organizations can contact the Director of Student Life and Leadership Development for budgetary approval prior to event space reservation.
Those hosting a co-sponsored event should refer to the Administrative Affairs Procedure 460: Event Co-Sponsorship.
Events wishing to serve alcohol will need to refer to the Minnesota State System procedures and complete the form, save and attach it to the ticket.
