Access to the CAP Server is meant to protect sensitive information necessary to complete job duties .
You will be notified when you have the proper permissions to use Remote Desktop to connect to the server.
When connecting to the server, you will log in using your StarID and StarID password.
Faculty and staff with justifiable business need are eligible to request this service.
Allows access to Minnesota State ITS ad hoc reporting databases from secured computers
Prevents access to Minnesota State ITS ad hoc reporting databases from unsecured computers
Enables campus IET managed security and access controls on all ad hoc database access
Enables auditable access to ad hoc databases
Consolidates ad hoc access to a limited number of actively managed servers
Complete the Operational Data Security Request Form.
Include the name of the database you intend to access.
Send the form to Records.Registration@metrostate.edu
Submit this request for CAP Server Access.
