Overview
FACULTY: This article reviews the various email options available to faculty in D2L Brightspace. Email in D2L functions much like a postal drop box; you can send messages out to student accounts, but you cannot interact with your university email inside of D2L.

Microsoft 365 Widget
The Microsoft 365 widget is located on the main D2L landing page. Once you sign in to your Microsoft 365 account with your starID, it can display a list of the most recent emails in your Metro State account, recent calendar appointments, and documents in your OneDrive folder. Selecting the Outlook, Calendar, or OneDrive tabs will open those applications in a new browser tab. Accessing an individual email, calendar event, or OneDrive document within the widget itself is currently not supported.
