- Media Library overview and instructions
- D2L Brightspace Media Library help article -- please note that these instructions and video refer to screen capture capabilities not available in our instance of Media Library. Otherwise, the video provides a good visual and audio guide of its simple interface and functions. To record your screen we recommend recording with Zoom or Kaltura Capture and sharing through Kaltura MediaSpace.
- Note: Media Library is not the same as Kaltura MediaSpace, though Kaltura Media is integrated in D2L and provides similar functionality. Deciding which to use might depend on several factors including personal preference and context. For example, Zoom cloud recordings are automatically added to Kaltura MediaSpace so in that case using the Kaltura Media integration would make the most sense. Users might choose D2L's built-in tools for the easy Record button in many applications like discussion posts, assignments, and announcements. Users might choose Kaltura for longer videos, for video quizzes, for better editing capabilities, and for sharing with users outside of D2L.
