Social Media Request

Overview

  • Metro State’s primary social media platforms are used to promote university programs, news, partnerships, and events to an external, public audience. These accounts are also used to share and uplift student stories and resources.

Our platforms include the following:

  • Twitter: @metrostateu
  • LinkedIn: Metro State University
  • Facebook: @metrostate
  • Instagram: @metrostate
  • YouTube: @metrostateuniversity786
  • TikTok @metrostate
  • Social media requests promoting university events must also be accompanied by an Event Calendar Posting Request, including a sufficient event description/details and any associated webpage links.

  • All submissions are reviewed and edited to ensure that written and creative content is optimized for social media platforms, keeping our external audience in mind.
  • Requests are evaluated and published on the most appropriate channel(s) based on the criteria of relevance, timeliness, interest, and impact.
  • Incomplete or unclear submissions will require more information and delay the publish date.
  • Faculty, staff, student organizations, and members of the campus community are eligible to request this service.
  • Please allow for 5–7 business days for your post to be published.

NOTE:  This request is intended for post(s) published on one date. If you need assistance with a campaign occurring over several weeks or months, please email communications@metrostate.edu and note “Social Media” in the message subject line.
