With the assumption your can find your way into D2L Brightspace and then into your course. The HTML editor allows for you to embed videos within just about everything in D2L: Announcements, HTML Content pages, Discussions, Assignments, Quizzes, gradebook feedback, an several other places. In this example, I will demonstrate the steps using announcements but these can be duplicated in any of the aforementioned tools.
- Start by creating an Announcement or editing an existing announcement.
- Place your cursor where you wish to embed your video.
- Within the HTML editor look for the button (about midway through the upper line of the HTML editor that is labeled Insert Stuff. The button itself contains what looks like a Play Pause Record and Stop button:
Select Insert Stuff.
- From the list, select Kaltura Media.
- Kaltura will connect and you can search for the video you wish to use in your MediaSpace library.
- When you have found the video you wish to use, select the Embed button.
- D2L will bring you to a preview panel, select the Insert button. Your video will embed where you had your cursor.
