Question:

  • What does it cost to host an event?
  • Who is eligible to request the space reservation fee be waived?
  • How are fees paid?

Answer:

  • There is a pricing chart below for each event space reservation fee. All event spaces require a two hour minimum reservation. There is also a chart for additional fees that apply to events depending upon circumstance and need.

  • Internal events do not pay to reserve event space. Internal events only pay for additional fees as necessary.

  • Partnership events are eligible to request the space reservation fee be waived. They must justify fee waiver by describing how the event supports the University mission.

  • Fees are paid differently depending on the type of event.
    • Internal events pay any additional fees in the form of a charge back to their department or organization cost center after the event.
    • State agency events pay for space and additional fees for used services after the event.
    • Partnership events require payment ahead of time via cash, check or credit card to be paid through Financial Management. For fees that the internal departmental sponsor agrees to pay, the cost center can be charged.
    • External events require payment ahead of time via cash, check or credit card to be paid through Financial Management.
