  • Event reservations should be made with Mpls College scheduling by email (central.scheduling@minneapolis.edu). Advance notice (minimum 2 weeks is preferred) when planning an event. They will notify the Minneapolis Public Safety if a space is normally locked during the time of your planned event and if needed should verify about parking for non-university employees and students.
  • Meeting reservations in classrooms can be made through Metro State reservations in the service portal or Minneapolis College scheduling by email (central.scheduling@minneapolis.edu).
  • First and second floor common spaces located on the south side of the building are reservable spaces. Schedulers will review classroom schedules for adjacent rooms when considering approval for events scheduled in the common event spaces.
  • Food or catering support needs to be purchased through the Minneapolis College required food vendor.  Metro State department departments or colleges will need to create a requisition and PO in Workday for catering expenses

You can request a price quote for food through the Tiffin Man Global Kitchen web site catertrax (https://tiffinmanmn.catertrax.com/) under MCTC catering. You will need to register for a user name and password. If you want custom food options you can request an estimate from the owner, Jag Arora at jag.arora@tiffinmanmn.com.  If you have a specific budget per person provide that information in the catering request. They can prepare a variety of appetizers as well as a lunch buffet. Tiffin Man Global Kitchen specializes in Mediterranean and Indian food.

Tiffin man charges a $50 delivery fee for any Saturday or after-hours events.

  • Entrepreneurship Center - Additional seating for events held in the entrepreneurship space can be requested through Mpls College scheduling.

Digital Signage

  • Metro State staff planning an event involving Metro State staff or students only, should submit a Metro State Marketing Digital Display Request ticket with the applicable information. Marketing will assist in sign layout (if needed) and add the illustrator template with Metro graphic to the sign. Once the proof is approved Metro State Marketing will send it to Deta.Haililovic@minneapolis.edu to post on the digital displays.
  • Metro State Marketing will update the existing Digital Display Request service request form to identify if the digital signage request is for the MEC building, the St Paul campus signage or digital signage on both the Mpls and St Paul campus.
  • If the event being planned is a co-branded event where both Mpls College campus and Metro State is welcome to attend/participate then Mpls College can create the content. Those requests should be sent to the Mpls Marketing Deta.Haililovic@minneapolis.edu
