How to submit a print job via a Web browser
Print Specifications for Web Print:
Black and white two-sided printing only
File Size (maximum): 100MB
Supported File Types:
PDF
Word (DOC, DOCX)
Excel (XLS, XLSX)
PowerPoint (PPT, PPTX)
Image Files (JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, BMP)
Once the file(s) are listed as Status:
Held in a Queue
the print jobs are available to print from a multi-function device (MFD).
If the print jobs are not printed they will be held in the print queue and will be automatically deleted after 24 hours.
NOTE: When on campus and using WiFi you must be connected to Eduroam
Steps:
Step 1) Go to
https://webprint.metrostate.edu/app
and log in using format:
Username
: StarID
Password
: StarID password
Step 2) Click
Web Print
from the menu on the left.
Step 3) Click
Submit a Job
.
Step 4) Enter the number of copies you would like to print and select
Upload Documents
.
Step 5) Either drag your file from your computer to the
Drag files here
box or select
Upload from computer
button to navigate and select the file(s) you would like to print. Once the file(s) have been selected click
Upload & Complete
. If a file is accidentally selected, the file can be removed by clicking the
X
at the top right of the file.
Once the file(s) are listed as Status:
Held in a Queue
the print jobs are available to print from a multi-function device (MFD). If the print jobs are not printed they will be held in the print queue and will be automatically deleted after 24 hours.
Step 6) Take your university ID to the MFD and scan your university ID. You can also enter your StarID and password or enter your Tech ID (listed on your ID) from the MFD touch panel.
Step 7) Select the
Release
button on the MFD Select the print job you would like to release or
Select All
, then press the
Start
button.
Step 8) After you are done printing, copying or scanning log out of the MFD by pressing the Access button twice. If you forget to log out, you will be automatically logged out when the MFD has been idle for two minutes.
