Student Email Login, Email Address and Password Reset
As a student your email address is what will be provided to individuals corresponding with you through email. You will want to notice the difference in your email address and the email login below. Important! Your email may not be active for 48 hours after you are accepted/admitted to Metropolitan State University.
How Do I Login to Email/O365?
- Go to the Metro State homepage: www.metrostate.edu
- Select “Current students” from the top menu
- Select “Student Email” from the right column
- Enter Username: YourStarID@go.minnstate.edu (i.e.ab1234cd@go.minnstate.edu)
- Enter: StarID password
How Do I Reset My Password?
- Go to the Metro State homepage: www.metrostate.edu
- Select “Current students” from the top menu
- Select “StarID from the right column
- Choose “Reset my Password”
- Reset my StarID Password choices to Reset
- “I know my email address” is the MOST used! (MUST have a personal email address associated with your StarID account for a verification code to be sent)
- “I know my Tech ID” (you will be asked security questions or for your SSN)
- REMINDER: This can take up to 30 minutes to sync after resetting the password
- Once the password is reset, login to O365 as outlined above.
