Overview
- Active students and employees use their Microsoft login to access Metro State University email, Microsoft 365 and other services. Microsoft 365 (M365) applications include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, OneNote. Microsoft 365, as well as M365 multi-factor authentication; these services are provided through the Minnesota State Microsoft 365 tenant.
- Minnesota State Colleges and Universities use M365 credentials: StarID@go.minnstate.edu (students), and StarID@minnstate.edu (employees) with StarID password and is sometimes referred to as your MinnState login.

Student login
- Username: StarID@go.minnstate.edu
- StarID Password
Employee login
- Username: StarID@minnstate.edu
- StarID Password
Instructions: M365 Application Sign In
- Launch desired M365 application or browse to office.com
- In the Sign in prompt, enter your MinnState M365 username:
- Students: StarID@go.minnstate.edu
- Employees: StarID@minnstate.eduI
- Select Next.
- Enter your StarID password, then select Sign in.
- Complete the MFA process.
