OneDrive

OneDrive is a Microsoft cloud service that connects you to all your files through cloud storage. It lets you store and protect your files, share them with others, and get to them from anywhere on all your devices. When you use OneDrive with an account provided by your company or school, it's sometimes called OneDrive for Business.

To access OneDrive via the web:

  1. Sign in to Microsoft 365 or your SharePoint site with your MinnState Microsoft 365 login credentials (i.e., if a student: starid@go.minnstate.edu; if a staff or faculty: StarID@minnstate.edu).

  2. At the top of the page, select the app launcher The app launcher icon in Microsoft 365

  3. Select OneDrive.

Saving Files in the Virtual Lab

For saving on computers and the virtual lab see Virtual Computer Lab: Saving Files. OneDrive is a great option for saving files in the virtual lab.

Note:

After two years of no activity, Microsoft will delete the OneDrive and all files stored therein will be lost.

One month before this happens an email will be sent to the account that will be similar to the one below.

Email sent from email@mail.onedrive.com (Microsoft), giving the date for OneDrive deletion.
