my.metro

  • my.metro is a central location for university faculty and staff to access internal information — including forms, databases, applications, articles, links to third-party tools and much more.
  • Browse to my.metrostate.edu and use your StarID@minnstate.edu and password to log in.
  • Once you are signed in you will be at the my.metro Employee Dashboard home page.

Tips:

  • You can copy and share links to folders and documents:
    • Note: Keep in mind folder and document shared links will only work for Metro State employees.

You can expand or collapse folders by selecting the folder icon, as well as copy links to folders or documents using the Copy link button.

  • View additional my.metro knowledge base articles about resources available from my.metro, such as:

Click on a column heading to sort content listings, such as article title, date posted, etc.


Navigation and Searching


Top navigation bar (from left to right):
  • Logo – click on the Metropolitan State University logo to go to the university website.
  • Email – click to go to your O365 online account.
  • Calendar – click to view university events and academic calendar items.
  • Service Portal – click to view services and submit requests or view the knowledge base.
    • The Knowledge Base contains hundreds of helpful articles, instructions, information and resources.
  • Quick Links – click to view links to frequently used sites and resources.

Click the drop down arrow next to Service Portal or Quick Links for option menus.

My.metro, navigation bar (from left to right):
  • my.metro – click to return to home employee dashboard page.
  • My groups – click to view group, division or department, information.

Click the dropdown arrow next to My Groups or next to your name for option menus.

Left column navigation: Category boxes and menus
  • Each category box provides a menu of related resources.Next to the category title you can select the arrow to collapse or expand a category.

The example shows “For Faculty” category with listed related resources.

Searching:

  • From the search box, you can search by key word or phrase.
  • In the field next to Search you can search by All Groups (default) or narrow your search to a specific division, department or group from the drop down menu.
