Once budgets are loaded in Workday for the upcoming fiscal year, users need to be mindful of which fiscal year they are interested in when running Budget vs Actual report.
Although fiscal year end if June 30 each year, the year remains open until financial hard close in mid August.
Depending on which fiscal year you are more focused on you may wish to so do on of the following (example below uses Fy25 as current year and Fy26 as future year)
1-) Keep your report filters defaulting to Period: Fy25-Jun and each time you want to see a report for FY26, manually update to Period: FY26-Jun
or
2-) Update all of your saved filters to default to FY26 - June and if needed, manually update them for Period: Fy25 - June
- From the report filter screen, select 'Manage Filters'
- For the first filter,
- Edit
- click on the "x "in in the Period field to clear it
- In the Period field type FY26 - Jun and ENTER
- OK
- Done
- Repeat for the next saved filter in your list
- Repeat as needed for saved filters in your other report
You could also consider creating new filters for the new year (although this will not work well if you have several since there does seem to be a limit.
