Overview

Room Overview

• The max capacity of the room is 40 individuals
• The technology supports general classroom functions only (not hyflex).

This section will help you set up the technology for a class or presentation.

Presentation Setup

The room is equipped with a PC, doc cam, HDMI cable, and USB-C cable at the instructor podium and a projector. The control panel at the instructor station is used to turn on the system, select your input source, and adjust the volume.

1. Press the ON button to turn on the projector
2. Choose the input you would like to display:
   1. PC displays the instructor station monitor
   2. HDMI displays what is connected to the control panel through the HDMI cord
   3. USB-C displays what is connected to the control panel through the USB-C cord
   4. Doc Cam displays what would show on the Doc Cam.
3. Once you are finished, press the OFF button to turn the projector off.

Notes

• MUTE cuts the connection from the device to the projector. This can be used in cases like retrieving a file from an email account.
• VOLUME controls the ceiling speakers. This is separate from the volume levels on your device.

Microphone

The microphones are located in the instructor podium, sitting in their charging stands.

• To use, remove from the stand the mic will automatically be live.
• Volume controls are located on the control panel using the last two buttons in the right row.
  • The third button in the right row turns the volume down.
  • The last button in the right row turns the volume up.
• Press the button on the microphone to turn it off temporarily if needed.

Panel Layout

The panel has two buttons in the top left, a dial in the bottom left, and a group of eight buttons on the right.

• Starting in the top left, these two buttons turn the projector on and off. The left button turns it on; the right button turns it off.
• Below the pair of buttons is a dial to control the volume of the room speakers. Turn clockwise to increase the volume, counter clockwise to decrease the volume.
• On the right side of the panel are eight buttons arranged in two columns and four rows. The first column contains buttons to select which input is connected to the projector. From top to bottom the order is: PC, HDMI, USB-C, and Doc Cam.
• The top button in the second column toggles on and off the feed to the projector. The second button is blank. The third and fourth buttons control the microphone volume; the third button increases the volume and the fourth decreases it.

The instructor PC is not responsive

Check that the instructor PC is on. The PC is located in the podium stand. The power button should be illuminated white to indicate the PC is on.

There is no sound in the room

There are two independent controls for volume in the room. The first is the dial on the control panel that controls the ceiling speakers. The other is the volume on the device connected to the projector.

1. First, check the sound level on your device.
2. Then, check the sound level of the room speakers on the control panel.
