Building and Door Access: Summer Hours

Overview

This article outlines building, door, and parking ramp access for students and employees at the St. Paul campus. Also, how hoteling spaces and the parking ramp are configured is also described in this article. 

Please note that from May 20 through July 28, 2026 building hours are adjusted and regular access hours resume after July 28, 2026.

Student Access

St. Paul Campus (except library)

  • Monday through Thursday: 7:00am to 10:00pm
  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday: CLOSED

Library Only 

  • Monday through Thursday: 8:00am to 8:00pm
  • Friday, Saturday: 10:00am to 6:00pm
  • Sunday: CLOSED

Parking Ramp Hours

  • Monday through Thursday: 7:00am to 10:00pm
  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday: CLOSED

New Students

I am a new student, when will I be able to use the parking ramp?

  • Students are able to access the St. Paul campus parking ramp up to a week and a half prior to the semester start.
  • Parking is free for all enrolled students.

Employee Access

St. Paul Campus (except library)

  • Monday through Thursday: 6:15am to 10:00pm
  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday: CLOSED

Library Only 

  • Monday through Friday: 7:00am to 10:00pm
  • Saturday: 7:30am to 8:00pm
  • Sunday: CLOSED

Classrooms

  • Classroom doors are scheduled to unlock based on the published class schedule, even if a faculty member cancels a class.
  • Classroom doors unlock 30 minutes before the scheduled class start time and lock 30 minutes after the scheduled class end time. 
  • Resident Faculty may badge into a classroom between 6:15am to 10:00pm regardless of the class schedule.

Hoteling Space

  • Access is granted by card access with a single swipe. There is no double-tap feature to keep the space unlocked.
  • If a hotel office has a dedicated door with a card reader, it will remain locked after entry.

  • Reserving space does not automatically unlock the door.
  • The 4 locations with key access only are unlocked during business hours, spaces include:

    • FH116

Parking Ramp Hours

  • Monday through Thursday: 7:00am to 10:00pm
  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday: CLOSED
  • Parking ramp access is available within 24 hours after an ID badge is created.
