Course Evaluations: Faculty Reports

General Information


Question

  • What faculty reports are available in the course evaluation software?

Answer:

There are three sets of faculty reports available in the course evaluation software: 1) Course Evaluations Summary Report, 2) Individual Course Report and 3) Trends Analysis Report.  There are multiple options within these three reports. 

1. Course Evaluations Summary

  • Displays summary results of course sections within the term.  
  • Each question asked on the evaluation is listed with the frequency, total number of responses, mean, standard deviation, and number of students that may have skipped the question.
  • Courses are grouped together by question so that the instructor can get a holistic view of all data for that particular item. 
  • Quantitative and qualitative results are available.
  • Access this report on the Faculty Dashboard. Review: Course Evaluations: Faculty Information.

 

2. Individual Course Reports

  • Summative: Dashboard summary of the evaluation of teaching effectiveness.  Additional information located within Progress on Relevant Objectives and Ratings of Summative Questions.  
  • Formative: Links to resources for improving understanding and skills of the teaching methods associated with each question on the survey.
  • Quantitative: Summary of all responses with a frequency distribution, mean, standard deviation, and count of responses.
  • Qualitative: Summary of all open-ended questions applicable for the course.

3. Trends Analysis Report

  • Instructor resource for professional development.
  • Use at-a-glace reports to focus on quality of instruction.
  • View results across multiple academic terms without having to pull up side-by-side reports.
  • Make connections between longitudinal data sets for holistic insights.

  • Access this report on the Faculty Dashboard.

 

 


Summary:
