Access your Minnesota State Zoom account

New Students and Employees are automatically provided a Minnesota State Zoom account.

  • Allow you to join meetings that have been set to require authentication for meeting participants.
  • If you do not sign in with SSO, you will be named as Guest as your display name, and you may not be recognized by the meeting host or co-host.
  • Instructors will be able to more quickly and accurately identify the specific students who are joined, participating and speaking in classes and meetings.


  • Go to: https://minnstate.zoom.us and select the Sign in button.
  • Enter your StarID and password on the MinnState login page

  • You will be prompted to install the Zoom Client the first time you join or host a meeting.

Sign in with Single Sign On (SSO)

  • When joining a meeting or accessing the Zoom client, you may be presented with an alternate sign-on screen.
  • Use the following instructions to sign-in using SSO
  1. Select Sign In.

  1.  Select the Sign in with SSO option. DO NOT ENTER EMAIL ADDRESS

  1. Enter company domain as minnstate and select Continue.
    1. A browser page will open the MinnState login page.

  1. Enter you StarID username (e.g., ab1234cd) and password and select Sign on.
