Web Conferencing: Zoom


Web conferencing services are provided by Minnesota State using Zoom.


Web conferencing software may be used for various types of online collaborative services including classes, web seminars, webinars, webcasts, video conferencing and peer-level meetings.

Students get 185 days of recording storage and employees get 365 days.  Recordings are pushed automatically to Kaltura for both students and employees.

Employees and students have access to meeting rooms with a 300 person capacity.  Employees also have access to a webinar tool that has a 500 person capacity.


  • Zoom allows student, faculty and staff accounts to create and initiate meetings, collaborations and work sessions.
