Standard Minnesota State Resources for Advisors

The system office of Minnesota State provides faculty and professional advisors access to information about their advisees without needing to looking them up individually in Uniface. These standard reports find students for a given advisor, all students and their advisors or students without advisors.

• Report Name: Overall Advisee List
  • Report Fields: Star Id, Tech Id, Student Name (schedule link), Current Semester Access Code, Next Semester Access Code, Last Semester, Additional Information via links to Contact Info, Academic Record, DARS.
  • Report Layout: One row for every advisee
  • Report Location: Faculty Application ► Advisees
  • Report Filter: Advisee Type = Overall
    

• Report Name: [Advisee] Class Schedule
  • Report Fields: Major, Course (ID/Section/Title), Credits, Non-Credit Hours, Grading Method, Instructor, Date Range, Days/Times, Building/Room
  • Report Layout: One row for each course
  • Report Location: Faculty Application ► Advisees ► "Schedule"
  • Report Filter: Advisee for selected term

• Report Name: Advisee Contact Information
  • Report Fields: Student Name, Tech ID, Star ID, Permanent Address, Telephone, Email Addresses
  • Report Layout: One advisee per window
  • Report Location: Faculty Application ► Advisees ► "Contact"

• Report Name: Advising Academic Record as of Term Year
  • Report Fields: Student Name, Tech ID, Term, Major, Course Subject/Number/Title, Course Credit, Grade, Credit Earned, GPA Credit, GPA Points, Expected Graduation Date
  • Report Layout: One row for course
  • Report Location: Faculty Application ► Advisees ► "Academic"
  • Report Filter: Local and transferred courses for advisee

• Report Name: Interactive Degree Audit Report for Student ID: XXXXXXX - Student Last, First
  • Report Location: Faculty Application ► Advisees ► "DARS"

Via ISRS Reports

• Report Name: Advisor Listing of Enrolled Students
  • Report Fields: Tech ID, Student Name, Phone, Access Code, Adv ID, Advisor Name, Campus.
  • Report Layout: One row for every advisee enrolled in the selected Year/Term.

• The examples represent results for "Metro Mouse" and as such, the information may be absurd.
• ST_H (student high) permits access to private demographic information such as race/ethnicity, birth date, gender, and SSN.
