Hunt Groups:
- A hunt group is used to "hunt" for a person that is available to take a call. Hunt groups are normally setup as main department or college phone numbers. Employees can then be assigned to this group to allow them to answer the phone line.
- Callers that call the hunt group line will be forwarded to the available employee in the group. The caller ID on the desk phone or WebEx application will display as a call being forwarded from the hunt group line. This helps to differentiate a calls as direct calls to an employee's phone number will appear with the caller's caller ID and not as a forwarded call.
- Please fill out a phone request to make any changes to the hunt group.
