Create a Metro State branded Outlook signature

Employees can create a signature with Metro State's new branding by following steps in this section.

TIPS:

  • If you would like to use a branded signature when using both, Outlook O365 as well as the Outlook desktop client, you will need to set up a signature in each application.
  • Step 1) Go to my.metro employee dashboard.
  • Step 2) Go to > My Apps > under Forms >select My Email Signature
    • Information fields will be displayed in the left column.
    • Review your details. You can choose to customize field information and then select Update Signature button to display your changes.
    • NOTE:  Academic advisors, TRIO, or Admissions counselors that have updated their My Profile to include their Microsoft Bookings page url(s), will notice that their email signature generator screen pre-populates to accommodate both their 'in person' and 'remote' Bookings page links.
  • Step 3) Copy your signature:
    • Highlight signature displayed in the middle section of the page with your cursor to copy or use the button > copy to clipboard.

  • Step 4) Open Outlook and paste it into a new or existing signature.

Extended instructions: Create Signature for Outlook O365

  • Step 1) Complete Steps 1-3 in the above section.
  • Step 2) From O365 > Select > Outlook > Settings (gear icon) > View all Outlook settings.

The Outlook settings gear icon is located in the upper-right top toolbar. View all Outlook settings is located in the bottom right column.

  • Step 3) Select Compose and reply, then enter a name for your signature.
  • Step 4) Paste signature from clipboard into the body of the signature and select Save.
  • Step 5) Select default signatures settings as desired and select Save.
  • If you have not selected a default signature or would like to select a signature you have created:
  • From an open email message select: > the three-dot ellipsis, > Insert Signature > select the desired signature.
  • TIP: If you would like to use a branded signature using Outlook O365 and the Outlook desktop client, you will need to set up a signature in each application.

  • Step 1) Complete Steps 1-3 in the above section.
  • Step 2) From the email Message tab, select Signature, then Signatures.

  • Step 3) Select New > enter a name for the signature > select OK.

  • Step 4) Paste signature from clipboard into the body of the signature.
  • Step 5) Choose default signature options as desired and select OK.
  • If you have not selected a default signature or would like to select a signature you have created:
  • From an open email message select: > the three-dot ellipsis, > Insert Signature > select the desired signature.
  • TIP: If you would like to use a branded signature using Outlook O365 and the Outlook desktop client, you will need to setup a signature in each application.
